Consist launches new release of PrintBOS
Consist, manufacturers of the PrintBOS
solution supplied by iTECH have announced the latest
version for their renowned intelligent document
management software, PrintBOS 4.23.
The PrintBOS product is part of the
paperless office solution provided by iTECH. The
upgrades made by Consist will have significant benefits
for users of the intelligent document management solution.
Features Include:

Additional “pdf” modules i.e. Encryption; Digital
Signatures;
i-PDF

Improve throughput with qualified output PDFs in
multi-process mode.

New installation procedure that allows setup of
PrintBOS
in service mode.

"Print to output file". This feature replaces the
need to use PrintBOS Archive module for the same
purpose and containing new file type saving options
- PostScript & PCL.

Archiving : new automatic naming convention ; (i.e.
the output file name can contain by default the Job
number; User name; Queue name; Group name, Date,
etc) other options include:- Multi Page naming; Muti
Parts naming; Multiple databases.

Improved TCP\IP connection to PrintBOS.

Updated Online Help and Tutorials.

Now supports 2 dimensional barcodes e.g. PDF417
barcode.

Improve interactive design work with enhanced and
faster drag & drop functionality.

Sub template Substitution Editor: new editor
application to support substitutions of sub
templates according to users defined rules.

Print preview of sub-templates from the PrintBOS
designer.

New property was added in the designer to the table
object. It is called: "Skip
empty lines" (Stream-In Mode
only)

Support for duplex printing in Stream-In.

Support big file size attachments for sending in
email.

Allows configuring of any SMTP port for sending
emails.

PrintBOS Agent : new printing & preview options ;
allows configuring of any LPR port.
